Mychela's Bio

(Pronounced as "Ma-shae,-lai)

Mychela hails from Musgrave Harbour, a small town on the east coast of Canada. Growing up in Newfoundland, music has been a constant part of her life. She became very involved in her local church. Playing the piano, singing in the choir as well as performing many solos this is where Mychela developed her musical skills.

Her first experience with recording came at the age of 12, when Mychela recorded a cassette with her mother. This resulted in Mychela traveling and performing all across the island. At the age tender age of 16 Mychela's second recording sold over 1000 copies.

Mychela traveled to Concecon Ontario at the age of 17 to work at the New Life girls home. In the role of Choir director/ Pianist she taught the harmonies and melodies. In this she found great strength and growth in her music. She traveled a lot with the choir, this time she was exposed to all of Canada and the USA.

Now living in Fort McMurray Alberta, Canada, she spends her time writing and recording her own music and striving to find the assets she needs to fulfill her goals of becoming a professional performer.

Mychela's talent and her drive to accomplish her goals are undeniable. Her passion for music is very strong. By listening to this recording you will see that she has a lot to offer to the music world. Yes she does write some of those country love songs. She also writes about the simple joys and pleasures of living, the joy of just being yourself in a conforming world. Her goal is to get a message out to the world, that you have to love yourself and be open-minded. Love life to its fullest! Be the best that you can be, And NEVER give up on your dreams!

With the release of her new CD "Independence Road ", which is a fitting title describing Mychela's latest effort, you will enjoy the sincere simplicity and powerhouse vocals from this recording.
